How to be Sure That your Surgeon Has Legitimate Credentials
More Information About Legitimate Surgeon Credentials
The decision to have plastic surgery should consist of decisions you'd make with any other elective surgery, and the primary question should be whether your surgeon has legitimate credentials. You wouldn't have any other type of surgery before thoroughly checking out the surgeon performing a standard operation, and plastic surgery should be no exception. Yet many people still wonder how they can go about checking into the surgeon's credentials prior to surgery. There are a few simple ways to check a surgeon's credentials and provide you with the peace of mind you need before going under the knife.
Online Tools
The Internet has a wealth of information available to those who want information on potential plastic surgeons. In fact, many state boards list the credentials and licensure information for doctors on the web. With the correct Internet address, you can find out which plastic surgeon is right for you. Some of the more popular places to look on the Internet are:
American Board of Plastic Surgery - www.abplsurg.org
American Board of Medical Specialties - www.abms.org
American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery - www.surgery.org/consumers/find-a-plastic-surgeon
All of the above websites list accredited surgeons and information and contact information.
Word of Mouth
Oftentimes the some of the best and worst information we get is from friends and family. The saying that-word travels fast couldn't be more true when dealing with a person's health care experience. Plastic surgery is becoming more and more popular as people choose it as an option to obtaining their ideal body image or reconstruction. Friends and family are usually more than willing to share their experiences with doctors, hospitals and surgeons. Be sure to ask them questions regarding the care they received and not just what type of surgery they had done. Beware though that people's opinions vary from one to another. Your best friend may rave about her surgeon but your mother in law may have a more less than stellar rating of the same surgeon. Take all information in and consider each person's opinions carefully. If nothing else, you may get a good list of surgeons to further investigate.
Many times, you can receive valuable information on potential surgeons from your family doctor, hospital or a nurse. These resources have an inside track on working closely with many of the surgeons that have privileges with the hospitals.
The Next Step
Once you have some surgeons in mind you need to fully check out their credentials. To do this you should be very specific in what you want to know. For instance, you should look into the kinds of training and the extent of his or her training. Investigate their schooling, residency and even the years of experience.

Summary: "True Tones, Nice Sound"
These bells are really nice. The tones are clear and true. It's great for anyone who is just beginning to learn about music, and is handy in the classroom when giving pitches for accapella groups when a piano is not available.

Summary: "Fun for family"
I gave this to my toddler as a gift because I wanted it. We both love to play tunes. I'm actually reading music, he's just using the sticks to make some noise. It is better than the toy bells because it has sharps and flats and more notes. The keys are labeled with the note (A, A#/Bb, C...) which is nice, esp for beginners. I think we will use this for years. At first I did not like that the lid does not open all of the way or come off, but I have come to appreciate it as a music holder.

Summary: "Bright and clear"
I bought this set for my nephews as a Christmas present, but I'm tempted to buy one for myself as well. My brother's family has a rule about musical instruments, apparently: If you're going to buy an instrument for a child, make sure it is a quality instrument. A child playing a cheap instrument badly is much worse to listen to than a child playing a nice instrument badly. This glockenspiel is a good instrument. The bells are bright, clear, and in tune. The kit comes with 2 sets of mallets. One is for soft playing, while the other set produced strong and loud sounds. My only complaint is the hideous color of the case---it seems to have crept out of the depths of 1973. However, it's the sound quality that really counts, and this glockenspiel sounds quite nice.
